When you’re traveling with family, sometimes the best location isn’t the most hidden or adventurous—it’s the one that lets everyone breathe a little easier.
For the Osburn family, that meant choosing a spot just minutes from their hotel. We landed on Queen’s Beach—one of the most accessible and beautiful beaches in Waikīkī.
Queen’s Beach is perfect for families who want something effortless. No long drives, no complicated directions—just a short walk and you’re greeted with open shoreline, soft sand, and views of Diamond Head in the distance.
It’s one of those places where everything feels within reach, especially when you’re traveling with kids.
This beach does require a permit, but it was already included in their package—so the entire experience stayed smooth and worry-free.
That’s always the goal: keeping things simple so you can focus on being present with your people.
What I loved most about this session was how natural it felt. No rushing, no pressure—just moments unfolding in between laughter, walking along the shoreline, and those quiet in-between glances families don’t always notice, but always treasure later.
The ocean was calm, the light was soft, and everything came together in a way that felt easy and unforced.
LaRen shared something that made me smile—she had actually asked ChatGPT about photographers near the Hyatt… and somehow, I showed up.
Sometimes the internet feels big. Other times, it feels like it gently places the right people in the right place at the right time.
If you’re visiting Honolulu and want a location that’s:
• Close to your hotel
• Easy for kids and families
• Beautiful without needing to travel far
Queen’s Beach is always a lovely option.
And if you’re not sure where to start, I’ll help guide you—so your session feels just as relaxed as it looks.
The Osburn family reminded me that photos don’t need to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes, all you need is a beautiful shoreline, the people you love, and a little space to be yourselves.
